Meet Alicia our Driver of the Month October 2022

Say hello to our latest Driver of the Month, Alicia from Charlotte, NC! Always prepared and ready to help customers, watch this video to learn more about her experience with GoShare and how she has become a top driver in one of GoShare’s fastest growing markets.

Alicia:

My name is Alicia and I’m out of Charlotte, North Carolina.

Shaun:

Thanks, Alicia. So outside of GoShare, what do you do for fun? What are some of your hobbies?

Alicia:

I love to travel. I have a four wheeler that I like to ride. We’re going to ride that tomorrow actually. And just hanging out with friends.

Shaun:

Sounds good. Yeah, four wheelers, traveling. Congrats on being named the Driver of The Month. It sounds like you’ve done a great job so far and you have kind of a track record of success with our customers. So great job and keep up the good work.

Alicia:

I went up to Salisbury the other day and I think they needed a larger vehicle and we worked together. It was two people. I think they had two forklifts. It took two forklifts to get it onto my van, but we were able to work together to get that done. And at the end, the lady was a forklift driver and the other guy, he didn’t know how to do it and she came along and helped, and I think we did the little girl power fist bump. That was really nice. Yeah, so that was cool.

Shaun:

That’s awesome.

Alicia:

I have a 2014 ProMaster High Roof 1500. She’s my workhorse. We get a lot of stuff done.

Shaun:

I could see that you do. Does she have a name?

Alicia:

Bella.

Shaun:

Bella.

Alicia:

Big Bella.

Big Bella. Keep up the good work, Big Bella. That’s great. That’s how you know you’re really passionate about your vehicle when you have a name.

Alicia:

Well, I could just say be prepared because I think with our new customer, which is Lowe’s, we have a lot of things that could shake things up. So just be prepared and make sure you have all of your tools. I’ve recently figured out that I need gloves, the utility gloves.

Shaun:

That’s great advice. Be prepared, have the right tools. Any other tools that you recommend that are kind of necessary that you find that you’re using regularly?

Alicia:

Yes, a dolly, a handy dandy dolly. Yeah, and always be willing to help. Sometimes I’ve heard customers say sometimes drivers are not willing to help or something like that. I’m always willing to help. It’s some things that I can’t do on my own, but I’m always willing to help and accept help as well.

Shaun:

Great advice. Yeah, the forklift situation was a good example.

Alicia:

Yeah, yeah.

Shaun:

Yeah.

Alicia:

GoShare is most efficient. I mean I think GoShare drivers go the extra mile to get things done and I think customers like that.

Shaun:

It’s actually part of our new slogan, Last mile, middle mile, extra mile.

Alicia:

I say it all the time. GoShare is probably one of the best platforms to be a part of. There are several out there, but out of all of them I think GoShare is at the top.

Shaun:

Well, thank you. I appreciate that. What is it that sets GoShare apart you think from some of the other apps out there?

Alicia:

I think you compensate your drivers fairly, so I like that part. I mean, of course I’ve seen other platforms that may not do as well as GoShare does, so I do like that part. And your customer service people are great too. They get back to you right away, so that’s good too.

Shaun:

Happy to hear that the customer service team gets back to you quickly. That’s really important to us and it helps make all the transactions go a lot smoother when you have a team standing by ready to help you out whenever you need assistance. So that’s great to hear. And yeah, I think as far as the compensation is concerned, I think we designed it that way on purpose from the beginning because we know GoShare is not the only option out there, but we also know that if we pay the delivery professionals well and they have a choice between GoShare and someone else, who are they going to choose? And that’s by design. It’s great to see you kind of picking up the pace and helping out in Charlotte. I know it’s a market that’s actually grown really rapidly because of the addition of some new big corporate customers in the last couple of months. So, yeah, great to see you taking advantage of that and good to see the van, Bella, is getting some work.

Alicia:

Yeah, she is.

Shaun:

Any other thoughts on GoShare? Anything else that you like about the platform that it’s worth mentioning, or anything that you’ve seen that kind of distinguishes GoShare from the pack?

Alicia:

Yeah. Well, the counter distinguishes you all and that was the first time I’ve seen that. But like I said, I’ve noticed other platforms starting to do that too.

Shaun:

Well, GoShare was really one of the first ones to do this anyway, so pretty much anything else that you see out there, they probably saw what we were doing and try to build something similar to it. So there was a lot of copycats and fast followers and stuff like that. But that’s okay. That’s the way it goes in business, and at this point we’re just trying to make ourselves the best and we’re fine with some friendly competition. But if we could be the number one destination for truck and van owners to go to find this kind of work and then that’s what we’re trying to do.

Alicia:

Absolutely. Doing a good job.

Shaun:

Yeah. Thank you. I appreciate it, Alicia. Yeah, it was great meeting you and thanks again for taking some time to chat with me today and giving me your feedback.

Alicia:

Well, thank you for taking the time to talk to me.
