When working on private property, such as a business, that requires masks we encourage them to respect the location’s guidelines regarding face coverings.
Customers are not required to wear masks.
You may take health precautions, such as wearing a mask, avoiding hand shakes, and keeping a six-foot distance between you and the driver, at your own discretion. You can also minimize face-to-face conversation by using the communication tools within the app to reach out to your driver.
If you feel sick, have had direct contact with someone that has a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19, or have been asked to quarantine, we do not recommend that you book a project at this time.

Due to their delicate or legal nature, GoShare cannot move people, pets, livestock, grandfather clocks, fireworks, drugs, guns, weapons, fine art/antiques, or anything that is illegal. We also cannot move extremely heavy and bulky items such as pianos, hot tubs/saunas, billiard tables, concrete slabs, marble tables, and 100+ lb safes. When selecting a vehicle and equipment for your project, please be mindful of the size of your items. For example, a full-size refrigerator requires a box truck with a lift gate and an appliance dolly. If your project is too large for the vehicle you selected, it may need to be cancelled or rescheduled.
No, drivers are not able to take passengers.
Yes, your GoShare professional will assist with the loading and unloading. If you are moving a large or bulky item(s), such as a couch or sofa, we suggest you hire two delivery professionals to move the item(s). If an item is too large for one professional to safely move on their own, and you did not hire a second professional, you will be asked to provide assistance. Providing your own muscles as a project helper is a great way to save money on your move. However, if you are unable to provide assistance, your project may need to be canceled or rescheduled.
GoShare is generally much more affordable than traditional delivery services. Every estimate is customized for the project. Your estimate will be determined by the type of vehicle you select, the number of delivery professionals you need, and the estimated time to complete your project. Get a free estimate by clicking here.
Overtime, Tolls, Parking, and Extra Equipment such as a dolly or lift gate can cause your project cost to exceed its initial estimate. The overtime rate is determined by the vehicle type and will be provided to you with our initial estimate.
Projects can go over time where there are undisclosed obstacles that weren’t included in the original estimate, such as staircases or additional cargo added to your project. The clock starts when the driver arrives at the pickup location and begins loading your item(s) into their vehicle. The clock stops when your item(s) have been safely delivered to the drop-off location and the delivery professional has finished unloading. Each estimate includes a max-time. The majority of projects are completed before the max-time. If your project goes over the maximum allowed time, an overtime rate will kick in to ensure the delivery professionals are fairly compensated.
If a delivery professional has accepted your request you can call them through the app and ask them if they can reschedule. If they are unable to reschedule you can cancel the project and schedule a new one. Cancellation fees may apply. You can also contact our customer support team for additional help and we may be able to find another delivery professional to help at no extra charge.
You will not be charged before your project is completed. GoShare puts a temporary hold on your card for the estimated amount or $100.00, whichever is greater. A hold is not a charge, and no money is taken from your account. When a hold is placed on your account, an estimated amount is temporarily “held” back from account funds available for spending. This ensures that when your card is billed, there is enough money in the account to handle the transactions. It prevents declined payments, which can hurt your credit score. Once your project is complete, the hold is released and your card is charged the final billable amount. GoShare releases the hold immediately upon issuing the final bill. While most card issuers release the funds within minutes of the hold being released, some banks may delay releasing funds for one to two business days. Unfortunately, this is at the discretion of the card issuer and GoShare is not able to influence how quickly they release the funds for use after the hold is lifted.
Placing a hold on credit cards is a common practice by companies that provide goods and services before issuing a bill or charge. For example, hotels will place a hold on your card 24-hours before your stay to cover estimated room costs. Gas stations place a hold on your card before you begin pumping, to help prevent gasoline theft. Only after you finish pumping and the final amount is known does the gas station bill your card.
If you cancel your project after it has been accepted by a delivery professional you may be subject to a cancellation fee. If you need to reschedule or edit a delivery after you book it, please contact our customer service team using our our online chat at www.goshare.co/contact-us or email cs@goshare.co. The cancellation fee is $10 per delivery professional for any project canceled with more than 24 hours notice prior to the start time of the project. If you cancel a project less than 24 hour before the start time you will be charged a fee based on the vehicle you requested. These fees compensate delivery professionals for their gas, time, and lost income from the booked time in their schedule. All fees are non-refundable. If you requested two delivery professionals for your project then you will be charged two cancellation fees. You can read our full cancellation policy here. Below are the cancellation fees per vehicle type.
Yes, you can tip your GoShare delivery professional in the app after your project is complete. You can also tip them in cash. We are unable to refund any cash tips you give to GoShare delivery professionals. GoShare delivery professionals keep 100% of their tips.
Our drivers take extra care to protect your cargo and deliver it in the same condition that it was received. If an accident does happen, you can feel safe knowing that your property is protected by GoShare’s cargo liability policy. We can not transport items valued at more than $40,000. New items in unopened original packaging being delivered from the store of purchase will be covered at current cash value. Used items other than household goods will be reimbursed at the current depreciated value. Used household goods will be covered up to $.60/lb.
GoShare is a completely cashless business. When you register to use GoShare we will ask you for your credit card information. After the job is complete we will charge your credit card based on the total amount of time it took to complete the job. We will put a hold on your credit card for $100 or the amount equal to the estimated cost of the job, whichever is greater. To ensure the highest level of security we use SSL site encryption and your payment info is stored and protected by Braintree which is owned by PayPal.
GoShare delivery professionals have pickup trucks, cargo vans, box trucks, sedans, and SUVs. All of the vehicles are owned by the delivery professionals, not by GoShare. All vehicles are required to pass a 21 point inspection before they can begin driving on the GoShare platform. If you need a trailer, you may select this option in the equipment section of your estimate request.
Yes, GoShare offers assembly services for a low flat rate, based on the number of items you need assembled. You can select “Assembly” in the “Special Equipment” section of your order to see price quotes for your project. Some items we are currently unable to assemble include: bunk beds, gazebos, outdoor play structures, sheds, billiard tables, gas grills, exercise equipment, mechanical beds, and trampolines. We are also currently unable to offer appliance installation, TV mounting, or hook-ups for gas lines, water lines, or cable.
GoShare Delivery Professionals are people that live in your community who want to earn extra money by using their vehicle to help you deliver, move or haul your items. We sometimes refer to them as drivers as well. All of the delivery professionals are at least 18 years old, with a valid drivers license, registration, and insurance. All drivers must pass a national and local background check with no felonies or DUIs in the past 7 years. We also make sure they are not on the terrorist watch list or the sex offender list.
GoShare can deliver items up to 2,500 miles away from the pickup address. We only work within the continental United States.
We occasionally will make promo codes available for first-time customers, or to reward existing customers. If you receive a GoShare promo code you will need to enter the promo code at checkout before you complete your order. Promo codes not entered at checkout cannot be used on orders that have already been submitted.
