Job Description:

Join a dynamic team at a fast growing, award-winning tech startup in downtown San Diego. Work from home or in our San Diego office (Employees in San Diego will work from home during COVID-19 quarantines).

We are hiring a community manager to support and strengthen our relationships with truck and van drivers collectively called delivery professionals. This is a critical role to help us grow and manage the supply side of our business. Our drivers are all independent contractors who join the GoShare platform to earn money helping businesses and people deliver big and bulky cargo on demand. The ideal candidate is personable, sympathetic, a fantastic listener, a relationship builder, creative and a strong advocate. Must be able to influence and empathize with our community of truck/van drivers.


  • Provide phone outreach to contractors on the GoShare platform
  • Act as a liaison between drivers and our corporate team, providing critical feedback and advocating for driver needs
  • Moderate a private Facebook group for active GoShare drivers
  • Actively seek out conversations online with truck/van drivers to inform them of GoShare and encourage them to signup
  • Create contests, events, and other incentives to improve driver engagement
  • Understand the evolving needs of drivers and communicate that with GoShare management
  • Work with Marketing Director on a quarterly research survey of contractors
  • Provide support in creating announcements, communications, and educational materials for drivers
  • Improve driver satisfaction and retention
  • Resolve any recurring issues within the community
  • Act as a fair and balanced middle ground between drivers and company

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above preferred, but not mandatory
  • Experience with a marketplace model in the logistics, delivery, trucking industries preferred, but not mandatory
  • At least 2 years of experience in community management, community moderation, or related experience
  • Strong social media presence and demonstrated ability to work within social media communities
  • Passion for trucks, vans, and the trucking community preferred

Hours: Full-Time

Pay: Hourly

Locations: San Diego, CA or Work From Home

Work in our San Diego office or remotely within the USA (preferred states below). If working from home, you must have access to a reliable internet connection and working computer. This role is not eligible for US visa sponsorship.
