Job Description:

This is a critical leadership role that will report directly to the CRO. You will mentor and manage a small team of talented professionals, interns, and consultants/agencies. 

As the marketing leader at GoShare, you will be responsible for the strategy and execution of all marketing and communications efforts. This includes owning and managing the brand identity and all related content and communications.

As a director at GoShare, you won’t be afraid to roll up your sleeves and get to work, from setting up a new paid media campaign to writing a press release. You’ve got persistence, a can-do attitude, are self-motivated, and are a team player. When something goes wrong, you look for ways to fix it and learn, not people to blame.

This role is collaborative across departments, providing feedback and support to sales, product development, customer service, and operations. The ideal candidate has experience leading the marketing function at a startup or in a fast-growth environment. Experience in SaaS or logistics preferred, but not required. 

Responsibilities:

  • Own the GoShare website, supporting and growing a robust and successful SEO strategy
  • Create and manage a lead generation program to drive qualified prospects to the sales team
  • Lead driver recruitment efforts for delivery professionals
  • Own paid media, advertising budget
  • Lead company communication both internally and externally such as press outreach
  • Create a strategy and manage KPIs for customer and driver acquisition
  • Manage online reputation across digital review platforms and social media
  • Manage and create a social media calendar 
  • Conduct quarterly NPS surveys and provide the team with feedback and insights for product and process improvement
  • Support the sales team by providing outreach content, including email marketing and sales presentations, as well as training programs and in-store signage for business clients
  • Collaborate with our business intelligence team to identify market trends, opportunities, and needs
  • Oversee the email marketing programs to active deliver professionals, applicants, customers, and business partners
  • Be an active stakeholder in identifying and implementing enabling technologies, including MarTech, Marketing Ops, and customer segmentation

Skills/Qualifications:

  • High proficiency with Google Analytics, AdWords, Facebook Ad Manager, WordPress (or similar CMS)
  • Advanced knowledge of SEO strategies and tactics
  • Team player and the ability to work cross-functionally
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent written communication skills is a MUST
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to use data to inform all decisions
  • Follows through on commitments and is honest and direct in dealing with people. Promotes a culture of respect.
  • Previous experience with Zoho, Salesforce, or similar CRM tools is a plus
  • Experience in SaaS or logistics preferred, but not required

Required Experience:

  • BA/BS in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • 10+ years in Digital or B2B Marketing with a minimum of 3 years experience leading a marketing team with multiple direct reports at a successful start-up or in a fast-growing environment
  • Experience growing a company from a few million in revenue to $50 million + in revenue is preferred.

Hours: Full-Time

Pay: Competitive salary, stock options health benefits, 401k

Locations: San Diego, CA or Remote (US). Work in our San Diego office, or remotely within the USA. If working from home, you must have access to a reliable internet connection and working computer.
